BU International Welcome Reception - Thursday 30 January

The International Welcome Reception is a fabulous evening event to formally welcome new international students to BU. We really hope that you’ll be able to join us for this special evening. This event is for students joining the Facutly of Health & Social Sciences, Faculty of Media & Communication, Faculty of Science & Technology, Doctoral College and Exchange Students.

If you are a student from the Faculty of Management please register here.

There will be welcome speeches from senior university staff and you will enjoy a chance to talk with staff from your academic faculty and other departments. You will also meet other new international students who you will be studying with.

Please make sure you arrive on time, to be seated by 6pm. Food, alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks will be served and there will be some welcome speeches at the beginning of the event. A vegetarian option will be available, but click here to email us if you have any other dietary requirements or allergies.

There is no dress code for this event, but most students normally choose to wear something quite smart.

The Welcome Reception is free of charge but you must register in advance as it is a very popular event with limited seating. Tickets are allocated on a ‘first-come, first-served’ basis, so book early to avoid disappointment!

If your plans change and you can no longer attend the event, please email buevents@bournemouth.ac.uk so that your ticket can be released to another student.
